Woodpecker Lodge

The romantic, double-story wooden beach cottage is nestled in the tree tops of the ancient Milkwood forest and is one of the very rare front row houses at Noordhoek Beach. It offers a spectacular, unobstructed views of the whole Noordhoek Valley, including the magnificent Atlantic Ocean, the unique 8 kilometer long Noordhoek Beach and the surrounding Chapman's Peak area.

A staircase leads up to the entrance of the house from the private parking space. On the ground floor is a large, comfortable lounge with a fireplace, flat screen TV (DSTV Premium), and two couches. The lounge is connected to an open plan, fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and dining seating. Wide windows allow for plenty of light and two sets of French doors open onto the extensive wooden sundeck with an outside hot shower.

Upstairs is the bathroom featuring a bathtub, a master bedroom with a queen-sized double-bed and a private balcony. Additionally there is a second bedroom with two single beds. All rooms, including the bathroom, have gorgeous sea views.

A secret footpath, which begins at the cottage, winds its way through unspoiled, pristine nature, down to the Atlantic ocean and directly onto Noordhoek Beach. Grab your beach towel and take a short stroll down to the beach without needing to drive anywhere. On return from the beach, one can rinse off using the outside hot shower on the deck.

Woodpecker Lodge is situated inside the Monkey Valley Beach Resort, a sustainable, eco-resort. This ensures you flexible options during your stay by having the advantage of a self-catering unit and simultaneously being within a larger resort complex. As guests of Woodpecker Lodge, you are located inside the gated, beach holiday resort with 24 hour security and have access to all of the resort's amenities including the hotel reception, Thornfynns restaurant, bar, playground, splash pool for kids, laundry, cleaning service and free wi-fi internet access.
